Jesus is the center of our plan as He is the heart that pumps life into us as Church. We worship Jesus who reveals the Father to us in the power of the Holy Spirit. The Eucharist is the highest form of worship and calls us to community. Worship comes to life, especially the Mass, and connects all that we do in our journey of faith, of growth, of learning and serving. It is in this way that, as expressed by the Second Vatican Council, the Eucharist can achieve its proper place as "the source and summit of the Christian life" for all parishioners.
Mass is celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at St. Isidore and 7:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary on Holy Days of Obligation.
Handicap Access: There is ramp access at both locations. Both locations also elevator acces to the church hall and restrooms below.
Hearing Loop: At St. Elizabeth' there is a hearing loop installed. If you have any questions about the Hearing Loop, please see Mary Ryan, Liturgical Coordinator, before or after Mass.
If you don’t have internet access, closings can be found on TV on Channel 4, WBZ. The names of closed institutions scroll continuously across the screen. Cancelation of Masses on Saturday evening or Sunday will be posted on the home page avcatholic.org at least one hour before Mass is scheduled to begin. When Mass or schools are cancelled all activities at Church are also cancelled.
Weekday morning Masses are canceled whenever the local high school cancels class or has a delayed opening. St. Isidore follows NRHS and St. Elizabeth follows ABRHS.
We welcome you! Our community embraces the presence of all, including our youngest!
To help support the experience of our children, for families interested, we offer Children's Liturgy of the Word at the morning Masses in both parishes.
We also recognize that sometimes small children may need a break and infants have their own schedules! To that end, each of our churches has a family space available:
St. Elizabeth: there is a Family room with a large TV mounted where the Mass can be viewd livestream while tending to the needs of young children. this is downstairs below the gathering space.
St. Isidore: The family space is located in the room to the right of the altar. Enter by the side entrance of the church. there is a large window through which to view the Mass and the sound is piped into the room.
